When an unwanted dog meets a lonely woman who battles with a disorder, it is more than clear that it was not a coincidence — it was a stroke of destiny.
When Cheryl Taylor, 33, adopted a five-year-old Bull Breed Cross at RSPCA’s Chesterfield and North Derbyshire branch, she was informed that the poor dog hadn’t been adopted for a long time. It was a sad story that the dog has to endure, but her name still gives a hope that, someday, her story would be as bright as the other dogs.
Knowing the dog’s history, she knew that the dog was battling loneliness for a very long time, but it turns out that Beauty, the Bull Breed Cross, isn’t the only one who fights a certain battle. Taylor, too, has a battle of her own. She has a condition called Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a neurological and developmental disorder that affects a person’s communication interaction and learning. On top of that, Taylor also suffers from high-stress levels and anxiety.
But all these things became harder to bear when the global pandemic broke out and when the lockdowns were implemented. That is why it became a timely decision to adopt Beauty when loneliness can be felt more extreme than ever. And since meeting Beauty for the first time, Taylor knew that it was love at first sight.
It seemed that Beauty was so thankful that Taylor has adopted her that she dedicated all her time, energy, and affection to help her new mom in every way she can. As everybody knows, dogs are emotionally sensitive, and with Taylor’s condition, Beauty was well-aware that her mom needs full-time emotional support.
Taylor was amazed that even with Beauty’s lack of informal training assistance, she was more than good at providing her with necessary assistance. Aside from providing her with emotional support, Beauty also tries her best to make Taylor as secure as possible because she’s well aware that her mom needs a sense of security.
With all these great things, it seems that Beauty was meant to be part of Taylor’s life. And maybe that’s the reason why she wasn’t adopted for a very long time because both of them were meant to meet and be part of each other forever.
