Some owners get worried when large pets are mixed with small ones. If the larger pet is not gentle or careful, the smaller pet might get harmed. Fortunately, a lot of larger pets can be gentle and know how to control their own strength. Here is a story that features a gentle giant.
One day, while Lindsay was hanging out at the park, she found a small kitten. She decided to take her home and call her Wendy. Lindsay fosters animals all of the time, but when it came to the little kitten, she wanted to keep her immediately.
Lindsay placed Wendy in front of a dog named George. He was a large Mastiff who weighed 135 pounds. The kitten immediately snuggled between the dog’s paw.
After seeing Wendy interact with George, Lindsay couldn’t imagine giving the kitten to anyone else. Wendy is only the size of George’s paw. Their size gap is enormous.
George was extremely gentle. He would allow Wendy to climb on top of him. The cat would nestle up under the dog’s chest. If Lindsay tried to move one of them, the two would get back together.
Wendy was never intimidated by the giant dog. She was all over George since they met. The cat was not afraid of anything.
Wendy has a lively personality. She likes to meow a lot and play with George’s tail. She gets in his face all the time and kisses him when she can.
George loves everything that Wendy does. He doesn’t mind her energy. He never moves away from the cat. George is also friendly with other small animals like ducks and squirrels.
Wendy came into George’s life at the right moment. George had a pig best friend, Debie, who passed away. He was broken-hearted. When Wendy came, it filled a void in George’s heart.
