The sight of adorable dogs is such a delight for most people. It’s like their presence instantly gives good vibes. Either we see them walking down the street, or peering through their home fences, or even just seeing them on video – it’s always a nice surprise.
This is why volunteers of the Michigan Animal Rescue League in Pontiac came up with a brilliant thought of showcasing the shelter animals who need to find families who will take care of them. At the same time, the idea is to raise funds for the rescue efforts of the league.
It is plain and simple. Shelter animals from the Michigan Animal Rescue League or MARL will join video conferences through the program “Video Conference with MARL.” Interested parties will have to complete a form from the shelter website and pay a fixed rate that will go directly to the funds for rescue efforts.
Any zoom meetings will be extra fun with the presence of the chosen shelter animal. It may be a simple online family get together, perhaps a virtual friends’ hang out or an informal company meeting, the additional screen with energetic dogs, brings joy to the conference.
Through this program, MARL gains an additional avenue to showcase the shelter animals that are up for adoption. It is quite difficult for families in different states to see the animals in MARL, so through these video conferences, they get to see which animals they want to adopt.
MARL’S video conferences also allow would-be fur parents to interact with the said dogs. They will also have the chance to help the shelter. The money paid per dog appearance will serve as a donation. Each video conference is a support to the advocacy of MARL. Imagine having some good time while helping – now that is a great experience with furry friends.
