When moms are pregnant, sometimes they wonder if their dogs could tell that a major change is about to happen. Jess Christoffers, on the other hand, doesn’t have to think about it. Her dogs have quite an obvious way of showing their excitement.
Jess has two dogs named Rocky and Diogee. Recently, the pregnant mom witnessed how sweet these fur babies can be. When Jess’s belly started to grow, the two pups began being obsessed with it too. The two would always want to rest on their mom’s belly, especially Rocky.

Rocky has only joined Jess’s family about a month ago. Jess decided to adopt him as Diogee’s companion because she thought that Diogee would need a friend when the baby comes. This would keep him busy. However, instead of distracting Diogee, Rocky decided to team up with him in watching and protecting their mom every minute of every day. According to Jess, before, Diogee would greet her boyfriend at the door. However, now, he would only sit up and stay with her.
Dogs can sense the changes in the mood, mobility, and body chemistry of their owner. That includes their pregnant mom’s rise in hormone levels. Because of that, some of them become more protective. Not all dogs are attuned to this, though. However, apparently, Diogee and Rocky are.

The two dogs have been spending their time glued to Jess’s side like they are her security detail. Jess said that, lately, Diogee has been guarding their house like a madman. She recalled how even delivery drivers wouldn’t want to come near their living room window. The two dogs are becoming a lot more protective as Jess comes closer to her due date.
For now, the family is busy preparing for the arrival of their new family member. The big day is happening in a few weeks, and the two dogs couldn’t wait to meet their sibling. Jess is happy to have her personal space back. However, she knows that Diogee and Rocky will be just as loving and protective of their new baby.
