Man Rescues Injured Abandoned Pitbull

Eldad was the founder of Hope For Paws, an animal shelter that has helped hundreds of dogs in need. One typical work day, he received an urgent call about an abandoned Pitbull.

Saving Buddha

Eldad dropped everything he was doing and gathered a team of rescuers. Within a few minutes, Eldad and his team drove off to look for the dog.

Once they arrived at the neighborhood, they saw little kids throwing rocks at something. As they got closer, they saw that the kids’ target was a dog. The rescuers immediately sent the children away and tried to approach the dog.

The dog cowered in fear and hid behind some garbage cans when he saw the rescuers approach him. Despite his fear of humans, he couldn’t resist eating the chunks of food tossed in his direction.

Eldad and his team used food to lure the dog and gain his trust. Two cheeseburgers later, Eldad was confident and petted the dog.

After a few moments, Eldad tried to tie a leash around the dog’s neck. Luckily, the pup was calm and allowed his rescuers to put the leash on.

Although the leash was secure around the dog’s neck, he then just laid limp on the ground, completely uncooperative. Eldad and his team patiently waited for the dog and decided to name the dog Buddha.

Safe and sound

Fortunately, after an hour of waiting, Buddha stood up and willingly followed his rescuers to their car. Eldad gave the dog some food and water then went on their way to the shelter.

As soon as they all arrived at the shelter, a volunteer gave Buddha a warm relaxing bath. After bathing, a vet thoroughly examined Buddha and concluded that he had a few bruises.

The vet gave Buddha some painkillers and medicine for him to heal properly. It took a couple of days, but Buddha quickly recovered and was then ready to go to his foster home.
