In this article, you will witness how an 8-month-old dog tried to save his family from a road accident.
Geo, a German shepherd pup, recently underwent a 5-hour long surgery after he got into an accident. How did that happen? Well, it was all because he was protecting his family.
Carly Riley and Ian have three sons named Charlie, Josh, and Ben. When the incident happened, the family was out on a family trip.
They were walking along the Burrs road in town. When they are about to cross the road, they initially waited on the street corner. And while patiently waiting, Riley heard a car that seemed like it was going really fast. However, before she could react, the pick-up truck was already coming their way.
Fortunately, Geo acted in the nick of time. He immediately pushed Charlie to the side so that he would receive the accident’s impact. Based on Riley’s interview, before Geo was brought to the hospital, he initially hit the pavement as he tried to save Charlie.
It was jaw-dropping news that Geo survived that accident. Imagine he received a damaged leg, spine, and a lot of bruises!
According to Riley, putting him to sleep was never an option during Geo’s treatment. Despite having debt worth 16,000 US dollars, she still chose Geo’s recovery because he is not just a pet; he is part of the family. If Geo weren’t there, perhaps their family would never be complete ever again.
Perhaps, the reason behind the quick response of Geo to the incident is his strong connection with Charlie. According to Riley, they both love to play football or jump on a trampoline.
As per the driver responsible for the accident, Ian reported a hit-and-run to the authority.
